WALS 2021 Online 29th November to 2nd December 2021

As we write this newsletter, we are getting very excited about WALS 2021 which will begin with an opening ceremony on the 29th November. Over 300 proposals have been accepted and presenters are now preparing for the conference by finalising and recording their presentations. The conference will have a mixture of online and recorded events and you will be able to access the recorded presentations a week before the start of the conference so that you can plan your attendance at live sessions.

The planning teams in each time zone are now finalising the program for each day and so please look out for further information in the next few days. The programme will include keynote speeches, invited plenary sessions and research lessons as well as papers, posters and workshops and there will be sessions of interest whether you are new to Lesson or Learning study or have known about it for many years.

You can find out more about the conference from Aki Murata, one of our keynote speakers:

Online presentations will be available to all those registered for the conference until the end of November 2022 and so you will have lots of time to watch.

Don’t forget that registration for the conference gives you full membership of WALS for the 2022 providing access to our journal (The International Journal of Lesson and Learning Studies), newsletters, webinars, a discount from Routledge for WALS members, the PhD and early career researchers network and of courses, the opportunity to network with colleagues interested in Lesson and Learning Studies worldwide.

We look forward to meeting you online very soon!
